Preparation Nation is dedicated to helping everyone become “just a little more prepared”.
It was begun by me, Margaret Lukens. As a professional organizer, I’ve heard too many stories of people filled with regret after a loss. I’ve heard from
People who fled their homes in the face of fire, flood, earthquake or tornado.
People who were victims of theft.
People who couldn’t get the full value of their insurance because they couldn’t prove what they had owned.
While I hope that none of these things ever happens to you or your loved ones, the chances are that at some time in your life, something will go wrong.
It may be something as common as an auto accident, that requires you to make a police report. Or it may be a firefighter who wakes you in the night to tell you that in five short minutes you must evacuate your home.
Recent headlines include tales of people who’ve lost their property due to flood, tsunami, tornado, earthquake, and terrorist attack. While we can’t protect ourselves against every possible loss, we can all take small steps to protect our families, and be in a better position to help our neighbors, if the worst should come our way.
At Preparation Nation, you’ll find helpful information and resources to help you become just a little more prepared. I hope you’ll return often for information and inspiration. Share what you know by leaving a comment.
And if you haven’t gotten this done by yourself, don’t become another person filled with regret after a loss.
